Yamini Kalluri

Yamini Kalluri is undoubtedly an inspiration to many and a hope for the art form kuchipudi itself !
Coming from a family of highly educated people, It was only pure passion for the art that drove Yamini towards pursuing kuchipudi as her career.

Yamini is a diciple of the legendary Padma shri Dr Sobha Naidu. She also honed her skills under the guidance of the Kuchipudi exponent Vempati Ravi Shankar. Her passion led her to move to the US when she was all of nineteen years old. Now, Based out of New York she teaches, performs and trains in ballet and modern dance at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary dance full time. 

Yamini Kalluri also started Kritya School of Dance where she also offers classes online, which is a great opportunity for Kuchipudi entusiasts across the globe.

Yamini’s understanding of Kuchipudi is so deep and pure that she makes sure that she performs with a live ensemble musicians. Music is one of the pillars for any dance form. But for ‘cost cutting’ reasons many dancers will usually not be able to afford live music. For this reason and to encourage carnatic musicians, who are also the soul for any kucipudi performance, Yamini Started Kritya Ensemble.

Jeeno Joseph

Jeeno Joseph Stands as a tall example and a source of inspiration for many young boys and men to do anything they love without worrying about what the social norms are.

Jeeno is an Indian origin American Bharatanatyam dancer and Doctor of Physiotherapy based out of NewYork with his roots from south Indian state – Kerala. Contrary to the norm of Indian parents sending(sometimes forcing) their kids to Indian classical dance schools, Jeeno inherently had inclination towards dance. He is a disciple of
Dr Francis Barboza.

Jeeno is the co-founder of nyc_adavu. If you are someone who knows the basics of bharatanatyam and lives in or around NYC are in great luck. nyc_adavu is run on donations with an intention to encourage bharatanatyam practitioners to continue learning. Harinie Jeevitha

Harinie Jeevitha will spell bind you with her passion, precision and skills as a bharatanatyam dancer. She is a dedicated artiste who has been learning the art of Bharathanatyam from the age of six. She is the diciple of Dr. Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan.

After her arengetram in 2006, Harinie performed at many esteemed venues and recently at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (nmacc). She also gave solo performances internationally.

Harinie for the pure unbridled passion for the art has collaborated with many classical dancers in India. She also published her collection of poems as Perspectives : An illustrated Anthology .

Sinam Basu Singh

Sinam Basu Singh is passionate and versatile Manipur dancer. He is the diciple of N.Tiken Singh, W. Lokendrajit Singh and Y. Hemanta Kumar.

Sinam Basu Singh has completed diploma from Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal and also completed Graduation and Master degree (Manipuri dance) from Visva-Bharati University with first class first. Presently he is pursuing Ph.D on dance. He performed at many national and international arenas and won many accolades, awards and scholorships.

His art makes you wonder if it is dance that flows through his veins! You maybe right, He is the grandson of Maestro Meitei Pung(Manipuri Classical Drum) player late Shri Sinam Bokul Singh. His upbringing was rich with artistic influences as he grew up in a family of artists.

Vithya Arasu

Vithya Arasu is a multifaceted and multitalented treasure of Indian Classical dance Scene!

Vithya is formally trained in Bharatanatyam and has done her Bachelors in Performing Arts (Bharatnatyam) from the Pondicherry University and Master of Fine Arts from Sastra University. She has also holds Diploma in Dance Teacher Training from Tamil University. She has performed infront of many dignitaries including then president of indian Pratibha patil. She also performed many shows in Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam’s group.

Vithya is a Bharatanatyam,Mohiniattam and odissi dancer( Not to mention an excellent skater too! ) She Started a dance school Natya Kala Vidyalaya based in Pondicherry with an aim to train her students in a very holistic manner by not only offering lessons in dance but also in Yoga, Exercises for strengthening and flexibility, music and Sanskrit.
